We are all humans and all have times when thing do not go as expected. Do not worry you are special it does not matter what comes your way. Many times in our lives, life crumples us and grinds us into the dirt. We make bad decisions or deal with poor conditions. We face negative life events and feel like we are not worth anything. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special – Don’t ever forget it! I mean, do you have a strong sense of self-worth? If yes then you do not need anyone’s approval to be who you really are.
Embrace that deeper inner feeling you have for it is the only inside job no one else can do for you. With this feeling we gain more positive attention, especially respect from others. Without self-respect it is hard to let any positive attention dwell in us. The thought of you being valuable alone should always give you a purpose to value life. Self -respect plays an important role in your life. If you do not understand how to appreciate yourself and your worth, how do you expect others to? Life is too short to maintain toxic relationships. In order for yours to flourish, you need to work on yourself first. Learn to give more in order to get, and put others before yourself, this is a powerful tool to living happily.
Self-respect makes us who we are and it is an important piece in you since it is the foundation of how we treat ourselves and how we allow others to treat us. Lack of self-respect results in depression and self-destructive behaviors such as tolerating mistreatment or harming ourselves (by using drugs, becoming promiscuous, developing eating disorders. You need to tell your positive qualities to never fail you and actively try to fix your negative qualities. When everything else in the world fails you, you will always have your self-respect to fall back on. How you feel about yourself affects every single aspect of your life.
If you don’t respect yourself then you won’t take care of yourself the way you should. By achieving this, you set boundaries for your life and your relationships. Work on building your awareness of a particular feeling about yourself, so that you can consciously choose to change it and shape your life.
