Thank you for choosing to be a Mentor with eMentoring Africa

As a mentor, your role will be to help and guide a young person based on your own personal experience. This guidance is not done for personal gain.  While some people fear that mentorship takes time…we assure you that the limited time you have is good enough to create a huge impact in a young person’s life.

Why Mentor?

Changes in families, work demands, and communities have left many youth without the adult support that were available just a few decades ago. That is why we have chosen to look out for mentors – NOT as a substitute for a caring family, community support, or a concerted youth policy agenda, rather, to promote positive thinking among the at-risk youth as well as equip them with skills to enable them fiddle with the challenges of our time.

We have two categories of Mentors:
  1. Face-to-Face Mentor: You are willing and available to have pre-planned mentoring sessions with either one or a group of mentees. Modalities of this will be agreed up with eMentoring Africa team.
  2. Online Mentor (for selected programs): You will use the Internet to connect with your mentee. Once you create your profile and provide useful information about your job, academic background and your interests, mentees will be able to view your profile and initiate a chat/discussion with you.
