Parenting a teen is one of the most challenging experiences to most parents today. Recognizing this is a major challenge, eMentoring Africa set up the quarterly Parents of Teens Forum that brings together parents to discuss issues that touch the lives of their teenagers. The forum gives parents an opportunity to share their teen-parenting experiences and is a platform for them to learn from those who have successfully guided their adolescent children through these influential years. Those whose teens’ behaviors have remained steadfast get to learn new experiences and skills of maintaining the behaviors in their children.
Topics include anger management, understanding the troubled teens, trust building, teen dating, teen drug use, teen sexuality and education among other pertinent issues facing teenagers today.
